About

I'm a software and data engineer with over 10 years experience supporting scientists do their stuff in atmospheric science, climatology, chemical kinetics and bioinformatics.

I am currently working at Oxford Nanopore Technologies on a revolutionary portable DNA sequencing technology. Previously I have worked at the Centre of Environmental Data Archival, based at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory UK, where I was heavily involved in the global data infrastructure for the IPCC 5th Climate Change Assessment Report.

You can follow me on twitter, github or LinkedIn.

In another life I am a baritone and musical director, singing opera, oratoria and music theatre. If you are interested in this side of me it's best to find me on facebook; you'll only find geeky stuff here.
